Each community has its own traditional musical instruments. The important musical instruments are' Khamb( Drum)', Bamboo flute, 'Lebang,', 'Sarinda', 'Do- Tara', and 'Khengrong', etc.

Tripura’s undisputed cultural and literary richness has allured several celebrated names like
Rabindranath Tagore, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose. The legendary musicians like S.D. Barman and his son Rahul Dev Barman (R.D. Barman), hailed from the State.

Ganga Puja, Gariya Puja , Ker Puja, Kharchi Puja, Gajan, Durga Puja, Kali puja or Diwali, X- mas, Ashok Ashtami Fair, Garia Puja, Doljatra and Rashleela etc are the most reverently celebrated festivals of Tripura.
